To do so, first, make sure the name is available. Here’s how:

1. Check for availability in Minnesota

The fee is $35 for mail or $55 for online filings, and the name will be held for 12 months.

Cost to Register Your LLC in Minnesota

To officially form your LLC, you’ll file articles of organization by visiting Minnesota’s Business Filings Online portal. You’ll need the following information:

  • Your LLC’s name
  • Your registered agent’s name and street address
  • An email address for official notices to be sent to
  • The name and phone number of someone who can be contacted about the form

In Minnesota, the fee is $135 for mail and $155 for online filings, and your LLC should be approved in three to five days for mail or immediately for online filings.
